Bakerland is committed to building a better lifestyle for everyone through the development of land and the building of liveable communities. Started in 2012, we’re a family-owned and run company proud of our honesty, transparency, and loving what we do.
Based in Southwest Victoria, our initial focus has been subdivisions in the Geelong, Colac, and Surf Coast areas, but we’re now looking to expand across Victoria.
Bakerland’s approach is genuine; what you see is what you get. We find this is especially important for land sales and helping landholders get the very best price for their land.

Mick Baker
Founder / Managing Director
Mick is the Founder and Managing Director of Bakerland with more than 20 years' experience in land subdivisions in the private sector and working for Local and State governments.
Mick oversees all aspects of the organisation, with a particular focus on land acquisition and feasibility, urban design, finance solutions, and creating strong networks and partnerships across the sector.

Steven Baker
Founder / Business Development Manager
Before Bakerland, Steve played over 200 games and 12 years with the St. Kilda Football Club in the AFL. Steve has a passion for helping people, and has helped thousands of people tackle adversity and achieve their life goals and dreams through building resilience.
Steve continues to build these networks and relationships in Bakerland, and works alongside his brother Mick to establish strong connections with investors and Bakerland's clients.
David Stacey
Development Manager
David joined Bakerland in 2024 as a Development Manager. A qualified Civil Engineer with over 35 years’ experience in land development across both private consulting and local government, he brings expertise in civil design, construction, and approvals.
Based on the Surf Coast, David has spent his career in South-West Victoria, building strong industry networks and relationships that, combined with his technical skills, help Bakerland deliver quality land developments.
